Welcome to the Good Life

You have no idea how many tries it took me to log in.
It's been six months since I've touched this blog. I miss the people and interaction, but I don't miss the work. Even now, I find myself struggling to come up with the words, so I'll keep things short. Again, while I miss the interaction with you guys, I'm enjoying my hiatus. Life is pretty quiet, and I like it that way.


Work
I had the opportunity to work on a project that took me to Tampa for a week. I'm very happy for the experience and proud of my work, even though not everything went according to my grand plan. :) Other than that, I've gotten mad props from some heavy-hitters that saw some of the work I did with another project and mentioned it to my manager. Sweet, sweet, bankable recognition. :) I kid (kinda). Just to have someone recognize the hard work I put into something when everyone else didn't appreciate it or even complained, that person's feedback was a silver lining for me and actually made me a little misty. :)

Kinda work related—One of the consultants I support got married recently. We had a little surprise happy hour for her and her new husband. It was the first time I saw them together for any length of time and people, these two are in love. I could just feel it. Ever have those moments where you experience joy and are truly, truly happy for someone else? I admit that those moments are far between and fleeting for me, however sitting there watching those two cannoodle and coo over each other was one of those moments for me.

Sexy Times
Speaking of cannoodling, I've been doing a bit of that myself. It's early, so there's nothing to report, really. Just that I like this person lots and hope it goes further. If not, I'll be able to say I got some really good ice cream out of the deal.

I Can Has Financial Freedom?
The current economic climate has me praising Shesus Crise for dumping my debt a year ago. Fiscally speaking, I can officially say that I am ridiculously better off now than I was a year ago. Now if the government would focus on this inflation issue we seem to be having...

So that's pretty much it. It's the quick n' sanitized version of my life these days. Work. Sexy times. Save money. I don't know when I'll post again, so allow me to leave you with a random video that always leaves me in a fit of giggles. :)
